Lola Prusac is a luxury brand with deep roots in Parisian couture. Lola was born in Poland, then moved to Paris to begin her career as a fashion designer.
Lola began her career working for Hermès from 1925-1935, where she designed their first clothing collection for women. In the early 1930’s, Lola was the first in the fashion industry to develop designs based off of Piet Mondrian’s paintings, creating handbags and luggage with the famous geometric inlays. In 1936, she opened her own fashion house in Paris at 93, Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, and later on a second location in Cannes. Lola created her own collections of clothing, handbags and jewelry, becoming known for her innovative styles and bold color combinations. She also produced two perfumes; Sega and Gant de Crin.
Today, we carry on her legacy as a couture designer, bringing back her original handbag designs and reinventing them, as well as, creating new collections that follow her timeless, bold and distinctive aesthetic.
Lola's bags and accessories are now constructed by hand in NYC using carefully selected exotic skins and leather, along with custom 14k gold plated hardware, making each piece unique... a true statement of beauty.
